Ritual in a jar: an abundance ritual

Last week the wife and I decided to try out our first abundance ritual, which she had purchased for me as a valentine's gift from Altar . Right up my alley, it was a pretty perfect gift. The ritual in a jar was meant as an individual ritual, but we found that it was a great bonding experience to connect over something we both feel connected to.   The jar included matches, several oils, two candles, a scroll of instructions, a coin, a sand dollar, sage, palo santo, herbs, salt and a pin. We also added our wild unknown animal deck, and the universe has your back decks to the mix, as well as our collection of crystals.   The ritual started with cleansing our space, with the sage, then palo Santo. I've always loved clearing the air in every new space we've lived in, but I've never done both during the same ritual.   Next we lit the white candle, used the oil to anoint our third eyes, and etched our intentions into the green candle. We anointed the green candle with oil, and lit the candle, placing it on the coin and sand dollar. We recited a few phrases included with the kit, and watched as the candle burned through. I found this to be the most calming and connecting aspect of the ritual as we united our intentions in the quiet and picked cards from the deck. The cards shown were my wife's picks, we thought the juxtaposition of her choices was super interesting.   After the candles finished burning, we placed the coin and sand dollar in a special place above our bed, and combined the salts and herbs together, and took a cleansing bath together to complete the ritual.   Overall I think this was a great way to end the day together, to wind down and connect with each other. Manifesting abundance in our life together has been a major focus, and I'm looking forward to continuing this ritual regularly as a way to stay focused on our goals, as well as staying connected.   These ritual kits come in several different varieties, handmade in Portland and available online at Ritual in a Jar .
