portland guide

My soul city. My heart. My love.

I've only been here a year and a half, but I adore this city. It has the best vibes, the most genuinely nice people you'll ever meet, a sense of community like I've never experienced, and the BEST food around. I've eaten my way through a fair share of restaurants, and developed quite the list of favorites. More and more often, friends ask for recommendations on what to do while in town, so I decided to make a personal guide to Portland, divided into categories of food, sweets (yes I have a problem), drinks, and shops/things to do.

portland farmers market- offered all over town, but the psu market downtown is the largest, and is open year round

pier park- my personal escape from the city and favorite place in the entire city. this forest is magical and always has a way of making me forget my problems and just breathe in the beauty of nature

solabee flowers- my absolute favorite flower shop, honestly the only floral shop in my eyes, with the most unique offerings, as well as crystals and plants, also our wedding florist

pistils nursery- best selection of plants, such a cool space,  super informative staff that truly care about meeting your needs, and finding you the perfect plant

fingerbang- it will take a few weeks to get an appointment, but it will be worth it. the most creative, unique and badass nail shop around, and nationally recognized

altar- think witchy vibes. crystals, jewelry, clothing, books and general awesomeness. my favorite place to shop for something special

casa diablo- portland has more strip clubs per capita than any us city, and casa diablo is the vegan club, as well as the best in my opinion, closely followed by sassy's.

love hive yoga- the loving vibes are flowing in this two level yoga studio. clean and minimal aesthetic with a gold heart on the wall with amazing instructors. my favorite classes are the early morning weekend offerings

woonwinkel- cutest shop ever for home decor, think scandanavian modern aesthetic with pops of color, everything from textiles to ceramics, to pineapple lights.
