dry shampoo review
Let's be real.
Dry shampoo is a staple in my day to day existence, especially in the winter months. It just makes life easier, and I'm all about that. Whether its last minute dinner plans, getting an extra volume boost, or pure laziness, dry shampoo is a must.
So let's get to it. I have tried out plenty of options over the years, but they are not all created equal. And most of the mainstream brand staples (i.e. Bumble & Bumble) aren't cruelty free, so I've been searching for my new favorite for a while now.
Living proof's perfect hair day dry shampoo is by far my favorite. Not only is it visually stunning from a branding perspective but its also powerful. It's a full force white spray, and has a lovely smell as well. This is the most traditional version, as a spray on, wait, then shake out after 30 seconds or so. There's no comparison for its quality and coverage.
Next up, OUAI Haircare dry shampoo foam. One of my favorite Sephora finds, this is the coolest texture of foam I've ever used. And I adore the minimalist packaging. It feels much more natural than the typical dry shampoo, and is a great option for more of a pick me up kind of day. In my experience it can't handle a super heavy oily hair day, but its a great product, with a fantastic smell.
Finally, R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo. I have to say this one is my least favorite. It barely makes a noticeable difference on its own. The few times I've used it I had to combine with the OUAI or Living proof to get the look I was going for.
All in all, you can't go wrong with Living proof. It's my personal favorite go to.
But I want to hear from you! Do you have a favorite I should try out? I'm always open to trying out something new. Let me know in the comments below.
